I just read a crazy rumor on The Boy Genius Report (soon rising to my favorite blog status). BGR says that 800 Apple employees are getting the boot because they took advantage of the system. Remember that Apple gave $100 rebates to early adopters to make them feel better about paying $600 for a device that was lowered to $400 shortly after? Well, remember that Apple gave free iPhones to their employees? Apparently, some of those employees (800 of them) cashed in on the $100 rebate as well. Now they’re being fired. Sounds drastic, right?
